't Kristallijn is a socio-cultural initiative by Sibelco for the integration of culture and nature. Is is located between an extinct mining area and an active Sibelco quarry, forming a unique triangle of culture, nature and recreation.

The sand martin is a song bird from the swallow family. It is among the most widely spread types of swallows and can be found in areas with plentiful water, where it feeds on small insects and broods in self-dug tunnels in river banks. You can see it for yourself on the Kristalpad, as you approach the Kristalijn.
