Kempisch lamsvlees (Kempen lamb)

Our lambs are born around the New Year. They stay with their mothers until they are big enough to explore the countryside by themselves. VZW Kemp manages the Kempen natural surroundings using sheep and lambs.

Our lambs are raised on a unique diet of herbs, grasses and shoots,  a diet that their fellows in other places can only dream of. In order to keep our herd viable and to strengthen the breed, a small part of our herd is culled at the end of every year.
